Terms and Conditions
  • Unless stated otherwise, all items are original engravings published at or around the date specified.
  • Colour is by hand unless noted to the contrary. The expression ‘original colour’ indicates that the item was coloured at or about the time of publication; "early colour" indicates that the colouring is early but perhaps not original, "later colour" indicates that the colouring is more recent.
  • All measurements are given in centimeters, width by height, of the image size excluding the margins, and are approximate.
  • All items are offered subject to prior sale, and remain the property of Furneux Antique Maps until payment has been received in full.
  • All Terms and Conditions are subject to change.
Payment
  • All payments may be made through the secure online payment system powered by Paypal. Purchases can also be made with all major credit cards and by online bank transfer-please contact us. Our customers do not need a Paypal account to complete the payment process.
  • Orders can be placed by following the ‘Add to Cart’ link which will take buyers directly to a Paypal-hosted shopping cart. You can return to our site from the cart and continue shopping, with multiple purchases added to the same cart and paid for in one transaction.
  • All prices quoted are in GPB (Pounds Sterling).
  • All prices are net and do not include VAT (sales tax) should it apply.
    • VAT is not due on unframed maps sold within the EU (all Furneux Antique Maps are sold unframed).
    • VAT will not be due on prints sold within the EU.
    • N.B. we are not required to charge sales tax on maps and prints sold to US buyers.
  • Only personal details needed for payment will be collected. Collected details will not be passed on to any other organisation and will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
Postage and Shipping

Shipping within the United Kingdom
  • All UK orders will be sent by Royal Mail next day Special Delivery, and will usually be dispatched within 1–2 working days of order placement.
  • The following postage, packaging and handling charges apply within the UK:
    • Orders under 100.00 GBP will incur an additional 6.00 GBP postage charge.
    • Orders 100.00 GBP and over will not incur any postage charges.
  • N.B. Orders can be couriered at the buyer’s request and at the buyer’s expense.
  • Buyers will be informed by email when their item has been shipped.

Shipping Worldwide
  • All overseas orders will be shipped using Royal Mail Airmail, and will usually be dispatched within 3-5 working days of order placement.
  • Royal Mail Airmail shipping estimates to Europe are approximately 3 working days.
  • Royal Mail Airmail shipping estimates to the rest of the World are approximately 5 working days.
  • International postage, packaging and handling charges will be as follows:
    • Orders under 100.00 GBP will incur an additional 6.00 GBP postage charge.
    • Orders 100.00 GBP and over will not incur any postage charges.
  • Buyers will be informed by email when their item has been shipped.
  • N.B. Orders can be couriered at the buyer’s request and at the buyer’s expense.
Returns
  • If the buyer is not satisfied with an item for any reason they may return the item for a full refund of the purchase price according to the following conditions:
    • Items must be returned within five days of receipt.
    • Items must be returned at the expense of the buyer.
    • Items must be returned in original wrapping (or wrapping of a very similar nature).
    • Items must be returned will full postage insurance.
